Live Webcast with David Kassan

David Kassan’s webcast tonight was fascinating to watch. It’s a shame the audio was touch-and-go throughout; nevertheless, everyone had a great time in the chat room and learned a lot about David’s technique.

David blocks in the form, paying more attention to proportion than to volume until he is satisfied with the drawing

He works lightly and quickly at first; spending more time on details as the drawing progresses

He uses binoculars (parillo extreme focusing, .05/1.6ft) “for accuracy of placement for large shapes”

The webcast ended on a good note, with the drawing sold to ACONNERS for a winning bid of $500! A great price for an original by David Kassan. I look forward to seeing the time-lapse video when it becomes available on David Kassan’s blog.
